The Total Mobility is available acrossscheme operates throughout the whole Greaterentire Wellington region.region, including Wellington city, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kapiti Coast, Ōtaki and the Wairarapa.
All companies listed below promote driver training in how to assist passengers with disabilities, and most operators provide a wheelchair hoist services. Please remember that pre-booking is required for a wheelchair hoist vehicle.

Maximum contribution by the council per trip
The maximum contribution per trip is $40. $40 (this means the council will pay half your taxi fare up to a maximum meter fare of $80. Any additional fare over that amount you must pay in full yourself).
Minimum fare charge
There is no minimum fareWellington Combined Taxis Ltd charge a flag fall of $10 for all van hire, which includes Total Mobility purposes however some operatorsvans, and an additional charge of $1 per passenger over five passengers.

- The subsidy may only be accessed when travelling with approved transport operators.
- Total Mobility customers visiting from other regions must present their Total Mobility card and/or vouchers to the driver at the start of the trip.
- No blue vouchers (for group travel and where payment is not made by a Total Mobility customer) issued outside the region will be honoured.
- Total Mobility may not be used for travel that is undertaken as part of your work or that is paid for by another organisation such as ACC or DHB.
- All Total Mobility trips must be conducted in accordance with the Total Mobility Customer Terms and Conditions of Use .

Please note
Wellington uses a smart card. Auckland & Christchurch clients can use their cars in Wellington.
Drivers will still accept paper vouchers from all other reqions. Users from other regions must tell the taxi driver they are using vouchers issued outside Wellington before they get in a cab.
