Supporting sector capability
The Business Case Approach (BCA) is the way the transport sector plans, develops and invests in transport activities for the upcoming 2018-21 National Land Transport Programme (NLTP).activities.
Adopted by the Transport Agency in 2013, the BCA has been adapted for the transport sector’s needs from the Better Business Case Framework, developed by the Treasury.
The next step in the BCA journey is to provide more support and training for the sector to use the BCA, which began with the delivery in December 2016 of a set of introductory BCA modules. BCA.
We intendWe’re planning to roll outoffer training and guidance in 2017 in the form of activity-based learning through a seriescombination of additional training modules over the next 6 monthschannels (online, paper-based and will keep this web page updated as new materials are released.face-to-face).
The aim of these resources is to identify core capabilities and skills across a range of scenarios through the activity based learning to support people using the BCA to focus on the areas that are most relevant to them.
Details of the roll-out are still being developed. We’ll continue to work closely with our stakeholdersyou as we continue to test the training approach and firm up plans for rollout and delivery throughout 2017.next year.
