Waiwhakaiho BridgeDaytime lane closures at the Mangorei Road and Northgate Road intersection

In mid-November we'll be opening up oneWe need to temporarily close some of the southboundtraffic lanes around the intersection of Mangorei and Northgate Roads so youwe can drive across it. This will mean that if you are heading south you will need to change lanes for Northgate or Fitzroy as early as possible (vehicles exiting Bridle Street will need to access Fitzroy via Mangorei Road). Queens Road will also be opened to traffic at this time.finish installing the new water mains there.

Watson Street

We're going to start building the road from the new Te Henui Bridge up to Watson Street. To do this we're going to close the end of Watson Street between Northgate Road and Lemon Street from 2 November to 18 December 2015.

To do this we will be intermittently closing single lanes on each approach to the intersection for up to three days at a time between 11 October and 6 November 2015 depending on weather. Our excavations need to be left open so the lanes will be closed day and night.

The right turn lane from Northgate Road onto Mangorei Road toward Devon Street will also be closed during this period. An alternative route is available via Watson Street for light vehicles or via Elliot Street for heavy trucks and light vehicles.

VehiclesYou will be able to accesstravel through the cemetery via Hobson and Lemon Streets. Pedestrian access will still be available via Watson Street, intersection at all times while this work is done, but there could be some delays. We will be a minor footpath diversion throughadjusting the work site. Fortraffic signals to help with traffic flow and suggest you give yourself extra time for your safety please followjourneys until the marked routes.intersection is back to full capacity.

New street light cabling is going to be installed under the footpaths between Watson and Hobson Streets from 16 November to 11 December 2015. We will maintain pedestrian access here by removing the existing car parks and creating a temporary footpath on the road.

Thank you for your patience and please drive safely.
