How REG is structured

Since its establishment in 2013, the Road Efficiency Group has evolved and in 2015 the current group structure was established:

REG Governance Group

Chair: Jim Harland

Jim is the Regional Director Southern for the NZ Transport Agency.  He joined the Agency in February 2011 after eleven years as Dunedin City Council's CEO.  Jim also chaired the Road Maintenance Task Force whose recommendations led to the establishment of the Road Efficiency Group.

REG Leadership Group

Chair: Dawn Inglis (also chairs Data Group) 

Dawn Inglis was the Manager Road Corridor at Waipa District Council until April 2014, when she moved into a secondment as the Project Director for Waikato RATA (Road Asset Technical Alliance), established to support increased capacity and capability in strategic asset management in the Waikato.

ONRC Group  

Chair: Julie Muir

Julie is Central Otago District Council’s Roading Manager, having worked here for 12 years. Prior to working in Local Government she worked as a part of the Consultants team.

Procurement Group

Chair: Jamie McPherson

Jamie is the Transportation Network Engineer at Tasman District Council.  Before joining the Council in 2013, Jamie held engineering positions with MWH Global and Opus.

Capability/Engagement Group

Chair: Martin Taylor

Martin is the Manager, Transportation for Whakatane District Council.  Before joining the Council in 2008, Martin was a Project Manager with Opus International Consultants.
